Optimism for 2009

I don’t drink Pepsi – hate the stuff – but I like their new ad. It is aimed at Gen Y who are an innately optimistic bunch (according to Pepsi’s research and certainly backed up by my experience).

Some might say the ad is devoid of meaning. Then again, what meaning can you make from a fizzy drink? So maybe it is just good old-fashioned honest. It is certainly simple. And it apparently cost only $99 to produce!

Whether you love it or hate it, I think it’s not a bad idea to start 2009 with a dose of optimism.
